How to download and print your instant printable greeting card
Hello, friends! This tutorial will show you how to print and cut your instant printable greeting card that you've just purchased. Thank you so much!
After your payment is confirmed here at our online store or on Etsy, you will be able to download the files instantly.
If you purchased the printable greeting card here at Moncharis, you will immediately be able to download the files or you can wait for the email where you can also download them. Remember that the link expires after 24 hours. So please, save the zip folder in a safe place that you can access at a later time.
Unzip them and choose the .pdf file you'd like to print. For this tutorial, I'll choose the A7 greeting card in letter size paper.
Open the file in Adobe Reader.
Print the .pdf file by pressing on the printer icon at the left hand corner of your screen. This will open the printer's dialogue box. Choose the printer you have installed, enter the number of copies you are going to print, and select the "real size" option. Then, press print. We recommend that you use card stock for printing the greeting card and paper for the envelope.
I also printed the A7 envelope template. Please follow steps one and two to print your envelope. But instead of printing everything, select the page you'd like to print out. For this part of the tutorial, you will need:
- One glue stick
- One pair of scissors
- A ruler
- A bone folder (I used a point turner! It works just as well)
- A paper trimmer (optional)
- One cutting mat (optional)
- One pencil
- Writing pens
- Washi tape (optional)
Cut out the short sides of the greeting card. You may use the paper trimmer or scissors. If you are going to use the paper trimmer, complete the dotted line all the way to the edge of the paper. This will make it easier for you to aligne the paper. Then cut the paper.
Place a cutting mat or several pieces of paper under your greeting card. Then guided by the folding lines and your ruler, make a line with your bone folder. This will make it easier for you to fold your greeting card. After doing this, finish cutting all the sides of the greeting card with a paper trimmer or scissors.
With the help of your bone folder, fold your greeting card. This should be easy since you've already created the crease. The end result should be a crisp crease with no lines.
You've finished your card! Now you have a perfect greeting card to give to that special someone.
Make your envelope. First cut it out. Then, again with your bone folder and ruler crease the fold lines. Fold the envelope. You may also use your greeting card to help you.
Before gluing the envelope, mark where the lower flap ends with a pencil. This will help you put the glue on so that you don't put where it isn't needed.
Glue your envelope.
Write your message! You may use washi tape to close your envelope, too.
